Past Work As a Freelancer

Education Without Limits and Accion Opportunity Fund are nonprofits that offer services to the greater communities. While on these projects, I worked as the sole designer directly with the nonprofit directors to help create material that would help their users.

 

Education Without Limits

I collaborated with educators to design an interactive calendar that streamlines scheduling, lesson planning, and unit building. I led the entire research and design process.

I worked with instruction designers to create an online course that teaches small business owners how to use user experience research strategies to better understand their customers.

 

Past Work @ Gemini

Gemini is a NYC-based cryptocurrency exchange place that offers easy-to-use trading tools for crypto experts and crypto-novices. I started out on the Customer Support team. After regularly providing helpful customer feedback, I moved to the design team as a junior UX designer and supported the senior designers on many projects.

 

Internal Tool redesign

The internal tool was used by multiple teams across the company. It was built by engineers without consideration of fundamental UX principles like navigation and information architecture. I helped propose designs that would alleviate common user pain points.

gemini app bank connection

Once the app launched for US customers, regular design maintence that was required. I specifically helped to improved the bank connection flow for US and future international customers.

 

Past Work @ Maryland Institute College of Arts

While working full time at Gemini, I completed a 19 month remote Masters program. Courses were taken one at a time at intensive speeds, with multiple projects. The curriculum consisted of foundational classes in HCI, Research, and Prototyping.

 

Investing education app

I named this app “financED.” My final deliverable was a proof-of-concept prototype that helps women learn about investing fundamentals. Check out my case study here.

Food truck app

I worked with 2 classmates to create a proof-of-concept prototype that helps alleviate food scarcity in urban food deserts.

 

Past Work @ Classpass

I first started my career in tech while on the Customer Experience team at Classpass. Over the course of nearly 3 years, I had a hand in helping customer via email and live chat, onboarding close to ~20 employees, and harboring empathy for the users.

 

New hire training curriculum

I established a feedback loop and built a survey for in-office and remote new hires to target areas of improvement for training curriculum. This increased efficiency in onboarding as the CX team rapidly grew.

As a senior member of the CX team, I measured search trends on the help center and made sure articles reflected the most common questions that we saw in the support queue.
